International and comparative politics at Narxoz is a unique program that aims to create a new generation of specialists in Eurasia. In addition to acquiring basic theoretical competencies in the main branches of international relations and political science (theory/philosophy, IR, Comparative Politics), every student will learn an additional Eurasian language (Japanese, Chinese, Korean, or Turkish) in addition to English, Russian and Kazakh. All students will be expected to study abroad in the second semester of their junior year to acquire specialist knowledge of their chosen country.
The program will be rounded out with courses in economics and international law to ensure that graduates have a broad perspective. The linguistic and cultural/historical knowledge that our students acquire will make them uniquely qualified for work in the private or government sector or to continue on to graduate programs in Political Science or International Affairs.
